Payment & Tips

Pay-what-You-can

Tarot Readings, dream interpretations, and intuitive, or 1:1 sessions with Vic are pay-what-you-can and have been since 2022.

At the moment, there is a small non-refundable booking fee for 1:1 scheduled services.

After your scheduled time, a contribution that matches the level of service provided and the amount you feel comfortable giving is greatly appreciated.

As a general guideline, below are common contribution levels, but any custom amount is also greatly appreciated:

  • $15 or below - Appreciated and helps me cover small, recurring monthly expenses, such as my online drive or VPN.

  • Around $25-55 - This is around my average and helps me sustain website costs and my labor.

  • Around $65-85 - Greatly appreciated and allows me to continue to offer pay-what-you-can services by offsetting costs.

  • More than $85 - A true abundance blessing for me. This contribution amount can help me to reach my financial goals involving housing and health stability as I work to pay off debts incurred while experiencing mental and physical health obstacles.

No Funds?

I would like to not turn away people due to a lack of funds if they feel strongly that a reading would be beneficial. If you would like a reading and can’t provide any monetary contribution, please reach out to me via my contact form, and we can work to barter or create another fair solution.

Tips

If you find value in my publicly shared content, then tips are greatly appreciated! You can have one-time or recurring tips. These help me to keep my site running and motivate me to continue to create freely available content.

Why, Pay-What-You-Can?

I believe in a future where all humans have access to healthcare, housing, food, and community. A future where our basic needs are met via mechanisms such as Universal Basic Income(UBI) and government transparency in budgeting with true public participation. A future where community gardens are thriving, and third spaces are abundant for people of all ages and abilities. And I believe that spiritual care and community are just as important for health and healing as medical care is.

I hold this vision for the future in my heart and mind.

I currently don’t make most or much of my income sharing tarot readings, doing dream interpretations, or writing and creating art. Most of my income is made through doing tech and communications work. Yet the work shared here is the work that comes from my heart and that I want to be accessed freely. This is the work that I want to see more of in the world. Work that allows for rest, reflection, and connection. Work that is empowering, provides peace, opens up opportunities for self and community love, and gives a sense of protection. Work that opens us up to what was forgotten or lost when patriarchal forces enacted colonial rule and capitalism onto our free bodies and world.

At the moment, we exist in a reality where money is necessary in order to survive and thrive though. And as a queer and disabled individual, with identities that often beget lower wages in work statistically, a pay-what-you-can model allows me to give and show up for the versions of myself that can’t make big sacrifices on seeing if a certain spiritual practitioner is the right fit.

Yes, some of the things I share and do will have a set cost. But it’s my mission to continue to find ways to create content that is free and accessible while still allowing myself to show up as a well-taken care of version of me for myself and the communities I interact with.
